About Hartley Wintney Preservation Society
The Society exists to help people understand, protect, enhance and promote Hartley Wintney's rich heritage. 
Its purpose is to help people living in the village today to keep in touch with the past so as to better provide something worthwhile for the future.

Development proposals for Hunts Common and Winchfield

For those not already in the know, Hart District Council are now considering a development in Winchfield of 5000 houses (that's more than double the size of Elvetham Heath which has 1900 homes). 

Clearly, this will have a devastating effect on Hartley Wintney, Hook, Fleet  and other adjacent locations. However, the process undertaken so far appears flawed and opposition activity is now growing.
